Pulse Gym Terms and Conditions

1. Membership

  • Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
  • Members must be minimum age requirement, e.g., 16+ unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.
  • Membership fees must be paid monthly in advance.
  • The gym reserves the right to amend fees with 31 days prior notice.

2. Access and Use of Facilities

  • Members must check in with their membership card/app on each visit.
  • Facilities are available only during advertised opening hours.
  • Proper gym attire and footwear are required.
  • Lockers are provided for temporary use only; the gym is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

3. Health and Safety

  • Members confirm they are in good physical condition and have no medical reason preventing safe exercise.
  • A PAR-Q Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire.
  • Members agree to follow all posted safety rules and staff instructions.
  • The gym reserves the right to restrict access to certain activities if health risks are present.

4. Personal Conduct

  • Members must treat staff, other members, and facilities with respect.
  • Misuse of equipment, disruptive behaviour, or harassment may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
  • Alcohol, drugs, or banned substances are strictly prohibited.

5. Classes and Training

  • Class bookings are subject to availability and may be cancelled or rescheduled.
  • Personal training services are provided under separate agreements.

 

6. Liability

  • Use of the gym is at the member’s own risk.
  • The gym is not liable for injuries, accidents, or health issues arising from exercise, except where due to negligence of the gym or its staff.
  • Members are advised to obtain their own health/accident insurance.

7. Payments and Cancellations

  • Memberships are billed according to the selected plan.
  • Late or failed payments may result in suspension of access until settled.

8. Data Protection

  • Member data is handled in line with the gym’s Privacy Policy.
  • CCTV is in operation for safety and security.

9. Amendments

  • The gym reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions with 30 days’ notice.
  • Continued use of the gym after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
